I myself have suffered from this terrible pain down the right side of buttocks. A few years ago, I had bought a new car and had to get rid of it because the seat aggravated this condition. Here are the things that have helped relieve my pain: A massage therapist taught me to lie down with my knees bent and to slowly move them together sideways until I touch the floor with the knees. I also hold my knee to my chest for a few seconds. My chiropractor is a tremendous help relieving this pain. Getting in and out of the car is very important. When I get in the car, I sit down first and then swing both legs onto the floor of the car. When I exit the car, I turn my body around toward the open door and put both feet on the ground first and then get up out of the car. When I sleep, I do not curl up in the fetus position. I sleep on my side and with my head straight up and down and my knees slightly bent with a pillow in between my knees. All these things have helped me a lot. Good luck. God Bless you. Eva
