Have you identified what the actual cause of the nausea and vomiting is? Im just wondering whether there are other factors you can take into account before you tackle the actual diet.eg Take some sort of anti-nausea medication 30 minutes before mealtime. Make sure your bag has been emptied also.Perhaps try a nip of alcohol if permitted to whet your appetite before the main meal of the day. Dry ginger ale is good for nausea. There are medications available to give you an appetite, or increase it. Keep your meals very plain and small...you can build them up gradually.Avoid greasy food, highly seasoned meals etc. Dont drink while you are eating, and take your time over your meal....small bites etc. Perhaps you could try a homeopathic preparation ...I think there's one for nausea and vomiting called something like drops of Melissa (hope I've got it right!) This worked miracles with a woman I knew who had such bad morning sickness through the whole of her pregnancy she had to be hospitalised and drip-fed each time! There are also those wrist bands which put pressure over certain points on the wrist...they work well with some people too. Neither of these last two suggestions cost a lot of money so may be worth a try. Good Luck! By the way, I am an RN and used to run a bowel surgery unit years ago, so have had a bit of experience with these types of situations.I would also recommend that you try not to get too worried about meal-time, and eliminate any obvious causes of stress there may be around you, if you can!
