I do not have this, but I have known an eight year old girl and a 30+ man who have what they call ITP, which stands for some disease with dangerously low platelet count.(I'm sorry I can't remember the exact meaning of the acronym) So I am not sure if this is the same. The girl, and mind you, this was at least 10 years ago, received steroid therapy with no success and then had a spleenectomy (removal of spleen), that unfortunately did not go well. The young man is from Ecuador and went the natural route. He was told to drink the juice of 20 limes a day and to swim at 3:00a.m in the frigid waters of a lake in his country. This was to shock the immune system to react since apparently this disorder happens when the immune system goes whacky. It worked and he survived. This ITP rarely happens with men, but generally hit women between 18 and 35, usually after a flu. So next time, take a COLD SHOWER!!!
