Started having symtoms for fibromyalgia after two weeks of radiation for left breast cancer. Started with a burning sensation midway neck and shoulder. With in a few days I had swelling of the hand and fingers every morning, which is very painful. They thought I had carpal tunnel again (had it in 99 and had surgery)Most of the spasm and popping is midway between my shoulder and elbow. Within two weeks I started having the same symtoms in my right upper arm and swelling of the thumb only. It is a nightmare to go to bed as I dread getting up in the morning it is so painful. Right now as I type this my left pinky is swollen and can't bend it very well. Every morning when I get up I take two tylenol and after about two hours, I can function. The physical therapist says I have fluid caused from the radiation but I didn't have a masectomy. Does my symtoms sound like fibromyalgia or is there something else going on that could be associted with the radiation treatments. I am so miserable every day and I would surely appreciate your thoughts and ideas on my problem.TIA
