Yes unfortunately its pretty common in schoolage children,especially elementary level.Here is an old cure you might want to consider.Kerosene diluted or mixed with shampoo.Let sit for a few minutes.Rinse carefully.This will kill even the nits.It also works in areas where the lice have a resistance to pesticides,I suspect that may be why you are having such trouble with them.
