I had mine done 20+ years ago when there were no lasers to do it with. If you think about it, they cut through a very large supporting muscle area to get to the gallbladder. It will take time to heal. You will probably feel more normal after about 6-8 weeks. But occasionally there will be after effects for close to six months. It just takes that much time for good healing and your body to recover from all the drugs they had to use. I recomend finding out how much activity your doctor thinks you should manage - and trying to work through some of the discomfort. Walking is a great exercise when you stomach muscles are sore. Sitting around waiting for the pain to go away is useless. It will not improve very much. Take it baby steps and before you know it , you will feel better. Good luck
