I have had a femoral hernia repair, right side, 2 yrs ago. 1 year ago I felt the same "POP" while coughing, and have had groin pain ever since. There isn't a visable lump. However, I do have a lump on the top inner right thigh were the pain often travels to. The pain is often a deep aching and then a sharp "pins and needles" feeling. When I strain the area it feels like something is going to burst. An ultrasound proved to be negative. I have a MRI schedualed for June. All the general surgeons I've seen say it's not a typical hernia. Consequently, there is no follow up. The pain often sends me to bed. My Sports medicine Doctor thinks it could be a "Sports hernia". I've search for information. There isn't very much about this particular diagnosis. Do you have any information on this and could you explain it to me? Thank you
