Lori, my son had costo 2 x's and doc said it was not viral related. He healed well after first time but developed pleurocy the 2nd, almost a pneumonia scenario, but Thank God he did not develope pneumonia. He healed with strong antibiotics and never got it again...it has been about 3 years since the last episode. Hope this helps,Good Luck!
