I'm told shingles are dormant chicken pox and may or may not come out in later years. The burning and blistering is VERY painful. They will eventually heal on their own, 2-3 weeks. A doctor will prescribe RX creams to help (very expensive); however, I found that the liquid from Vitamin E capsules helps the healing and lessens the scars. Good luck!
