I have IC and have had it for 16 years and have tried every drug and treatment out there including Elmiron. Elmiron did not seem to make any difference for me. Currently I have DMSO treatments every 3 weeks and use Ansaid (anti-inflammatory and Darvocet for pain.(every 4-6 hours) Sometmes none of that helps and other times it work great. I have also disvoered that using PRELIEF before I eat any spicy or questionable food that it takes care of the exra acidity to my bladder. I still cannot eat chocolate, coffee, tomato sauce or any fruits and citric acid. I avoid all POP and drink spring water and postum. I also take Ditropan XL 15mg.(new) It works incontrol the spasms.
