I'm going through menopause and the doctor has me on Provera, Esclim patch and Gynodial. My periods have been weird for the last 6 months or so. Very heavy bleeding and they never know when to stop. I've had periods that last 3-4 weeks. I have alot of cramping with them until I feel nausated. When to my GYN doctor today. They did a biopsy of the lining of the uterus. He thinks it's fibroid tumors causing all of this. He said they normally shrink during menopause. But my uterus is enlarged too. I'm 49 yr. old. I'm a nervous wreck having to wait all week for the test results. He said he'd like to try to get it to shrink first before having to do anything else. I'm assuming he's talking of a hysteroctomy. I had fibroids in my mid 20's and had them removed. And he told me about 15 - 18 yr. ago they had come back. I can't taking all this bleeding all the time. Anyone else have this problem?
