                        in any food market u can purchase a box of wheat bran. instead of eating high fiber foods, wheat bran (not oat bran) is 100% of all the fiber you need.  you must be careful not to take to much as it will cause a rapid bowel movement. i would start with a teaspoon 2 hours after diner,and regulate the dosage, . it flushes out anything in its way, 2 hours lets enough food  be digested.    in case of a diverticulitis attack i take the wheat bran till the attack subsides, and it usually stops in 24 hours.
