Carter from Tennessee
I am 48 and was told I have small cell cancer just 2 months ago. My dr. started me with chemo I had 2 treatment with him and than tncare took me off of being covered under the state program. I did fall under a safety net but I had to see another dr., and I feel that I should call tncare and thank them because the dr. I now have gives me more hope than the first one. He is starting radation asap, and cannot understand why the first dr. didn't do it. The chemo has not hit me very hard, I have a few bad day and I get a little tired but when that happens I go lay down and rest. I do get a lot of gas when I have the treatments and get a little distressed but it goes away soooner or later. What scared the heck out of me is when tncare (my only means of insurance took me off their coverage and I didn't know if I was getting any treatment at all. I would say go for it keep a good attitude and get everybody you know and don't know to put you on a prayer list, keep faith in the Lord and ask for a laying on of hands and get anointed, and than take one day at a time and live it the best you can and stay in prayer and faithful to the Lord. My wife keeps telling me "let go and let God." Good luck and I will start praying for you right now.
