I don't take any nutrients - but i wonder if MSM or glucosamine might help ? I have thought about taking guaifenisen. I have talked with several people that the guaifenisen has helped many kinds of pain. What about acupuncture ? My physical med doc x-rayed my pelvis and found that I have an unusually shaped pelvic circle - very round like a basketball instead of ovoid. so, this probably contributes to the situation. Also, I understand that pain from the lower back/sacroiliac joints can be referred to the hip area. The real expert on the pelvis is Dr. Alan Lippitt in Atlanta (orthopedic surgeon, but knows about mechanics of pelvis) I bet he has ideas. He says that certain muscles can become contracted and shortened and the gait changes, and the muscles must be lengthen /stetched with professional help. -experienced PT. Also, one leg can become shorter that the other, so this needs to be addressed. Underneath all of this, I suspect many of us have spina bifida occulta/ tethered spinal cord. Please read about that. One year in a warm ( 95 degrees) helped me, plus good pain management. I still must be careful. I have read that SBO is common - maybe 20% of population, and some people get tethered cord with it - which has assumed to be rare, but maybe is common !!?? To find a neurosurgeon, check with the Spina Bifida Association of America for specialists in adult tethered cord. Good luck !
