Hi Stacy, I am 31 years old and was just recently diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis(clot in leg) and Pulmonary Embolism(clot in lung). I just got out of the hospital 2 weeks ago after a 13 day stay. I am also on Coumadin and anxiety meds because of fear that something else could happen from every little pain and sleeping pills due to insomnia(lack of sleep). The docs told me my clots were caused by being on birth control for so long (over ten years) and the type of work that I do (lots of typing) and not moving my legs enough while sitting. I don't know of any sites you can go to since I've just begun surfing the web about this. It is all new to me and caught me completely off guard because it happened so quickly, but if you find any please let me know. I know how you feel and what you are going through, this is very scary, especially since the docs told me I was lucky to survive(the day before I was admitted I had trouble breathing while cleaning my house eventually I caught my breath but that night I awoke with severe leg cramps and swelling. I then went to the emergency room where they did a doppler(ultrasound)and thus I was diagnosed with clots. But I had this same problem back in January, minus the trouble breathing, I awoke with severe leg cramps and swelling during the night and my doc sent me for a doppler but they didn't find anything then.
