Hi Shar, Thank you for your reply & concern. My first posting explained where I am at with my PMR. Am 72yrs & into my seventh year with this horrible condition. Have been so determined many times that I WILL get off this drug but every time the drug beats me. Since going back on it after actually being off it for ten weeks, I have reduced down from 20mg to 9mg but am already feeling some twinges so will take it very slowly. When I got off the prednisolone my GP was sure it was an arthritis flare-up that I was suffering & even thought it may be rhuematoid but then two doctors decided it was still the PMR. The pain I suffered while off it was unbelievable, in absolutely every joint but my hands, shoulders & hips were the worst. Anyway I am cruising along now, not in real pain but get very tired. Putting weight on again though which I hate. The sweats have started again & it is our winter here in Queensland, Australia. When the humidity hits us it gets hard to cope with. Thank you again Shar, I have not been into the site since sending my last posting so was nice to get a reply. All the best to you.
