I recently had Candida with a urine tract infection. I ended up with blisters/ulcers. The doctor gave me two lots of antibiotics for the tract infection and a fungal cream for the candida. The cream was for use with an applicator and inseted into the vagina once a day for three days, although you can get a six day treatment. The same cream was also used externally a few times a day. I got a local anesetic cream to numb the area where I had blisters. This helped me through the worse bit of discomfort. I was told that the worst thing was to treat the damaged skin with creams other then anti fungal. Unfortunately I didn't know this until I had used other creams for about 4 days. Apparently these other creams "feed" the yeast. As soon as I continued using the appropiate cream, the symptoms went after two days and I continued to use the treatment for about a week after symptoms disappeared. It hasn't returned
