Hi, I to have a teenager that's ADD. He is l7 now. He was on medicine for a # of years on methylphenidate and that seemed to help. But as he got older and in middle school he refused to take it. He did have headaches with it. Currently he is taking nothing but he really needs it. How do you get children who are half grown to do that. I fought with the school professionals for 4 years(until our son was in fourth grade, over whether to put him on medication. I finally decided to do it and felt I'd wasted 4 good years of his education by not doing it sooner. I have been to many seminars, classes, some support groups, we need this. It's been a long time since I've been to one. He stays in trouble at school. Nothing serious enough things to drive the teachers nuts. But won't consider going on medicine. The medicine you mentioned does not ring a bell but I've heard there's one on the market that is receiving good grades. On the order of methyphenidate or (ritalin) but timed released and with much less side effects. I would like to know more about the medicine you mentioned. I also have a twelve year old son who really does need something. He is also ADD but is also all BOY! Where do you draw the line. He had much more reactions to the methyphenidate than my other son. Alot of headaches and some nausea. He refused anymore medicine. I gave in. But he really does need it and I am looking for a parent who knows and one I'd be glad to lend my support to also. WE need it. I am looking for something for the l2 year old. PLEASE feel free to email me. I tried this once before in placing a letter for reply to my questions but I never received anything I hope this works. Oh I had the 12 year old on adderall almost a year and he did better. Then, I found out what the ingredients were and refused to let him take it anymore. It did help though I'll be glad to answer any questions you have and hope you can answer mine. Thank you, Cheryl P.S. Goodluck
