Hi! I have two children with Hydrocephalus. The oldest is 23 years old, has a shunt, and the good news is: she has now been working for over a year as a nurse at the hospital she had 7 surgeries at. My youngest is 15, and does not have a shunt and was given a new (relative)surgery almost 2 years ago that has made it possible for him to never need the shunt at all. May this encourage all parents and children that are going through the tough days. I know this all to well, but the Doctors are getting better at dealing at the surgery, and the nurses may very well know how to help you. Stay strong, and know that these children are overcoming a difficult situation, only to come back to help others. Our faith has seen these kids grow up to be happy and healthy individuals. I wish the same for you.
