                        Having had plantar fasciitis the past year and 4 months I can sympathize with your problem.  I have found the following to be helpful: spend the money and get fitted insoles and wear them in each pair of shoes that you wear; do achilles heel stretches...this will help ease the pain-be regular with this (2 sets of 10...20 sec. each); use ice when pain persists; wear a brace or "boot" at night to keep your fascia fully stretch...helped big time for me; try a technique called "blading" where they scrape your foot/calf area with steel blades to remold the affected area...this helped me a bunch.  I am now able to walk without pain and play occasional 1/2 court basketball without too much problem.  It is key to not over do the exercise on a hard surface.  Listen to your body.
