My daughter(age 12) was diagnosed with severe idiopathic scoliosis in May or 1999, and in December had a single major curve in her spine of over 80 degrees. She had anterior and posterior spinal fusion at Shriner's Childrens Hospital in Portland on February 28,2000, and after a 10 hour operation, 24 hours in ICU,and an 8 day stay in the hospital, she is getting ready to go back to school on Monday after Spring Break. She is doing fantastic, and relatively pain-free,using only occasional Tylenol at night. We are very pleased with her results, and very happy to have her back staight and pain-free.
