E SUGAR, the only new treatment that I know of for IC is still in the testing stages. I think so far it has proven to be very effective. I read that it is helping 65% of all IC patients, giving them a remission time of at least two years. Of course, like all other IC treatments this is a double edged sword. You can get TB from this treatment because this is the actual tuberculosis virus that they instill into your bladder. however, if you do get it, it is a treatable case. It just depends on how severe your symptoms are, if you have anything else that is helping you, or if you want to chance getting this for two years pain free. Then there is always the chance that it will not work for you at all. Good luck to you!
