I too had horribly dry eyes after lasik, got punctal plugs and used drops all the live long day. My doc says that when the corneal nerves are cut it makes the eyes dry for some unknown reason. It usually gets better in 3 months. Mine got better, but it's still a real problem. Eye drops are my best friends. I find if I get inadequate sleep the problem is much much worse, so try to get proper sleep. Also, use Genteal eye gel (OTC) before bed (it leaves your vision cloudy so it's not practical for day.) The gel is SO much better than ointments which goo up your lashes and leave your eyes greasy and sticky.
