I had Lasik November of 1999, and started experiencing dry eyes after. I have the punctum plugs in, they help somewhat but my eyes are still dry and red. My biggest problem is when I sleep. I'll wake up even from a little nap and my eyes will be blood red. I use Refresh PM but as soon as I close my eyes, my tears wash it out. I've heard about a moisture chamber patches that fit over your eyes when you sleep. I'm going to give those a try and see if they help. Does anyone know of a cure for dry eye? Or are we doomed to eye drops the rest of our lives. Because I've heard that prolonged use of eye drops can intensifi the problem.
