My mother had this a year ago and the Dr. said it was nothing she keept complaining and they finally sent her to a eye specialist and we have found out that she has what is called MACULAR DYSTROPHY. The best I can say is ask to see a specialist as if this is cougt early enough there is treatment, but left like mom there is no treatment she will end up blind, all due to her Dr. not looking into it when it startedas her specialist told her that the dry eye and pain are the begging symptoms of this disease. There are a few web sites for this and also a monthly news letter. Hop that you get to the bottom of the problem. Also this disease is heriditary, so I am being checked by my Dr. let me know how you make out.
