I have a brother-in-law who has just been diagnosed with amyloidosis. He has just returned from Little Rock, Arkansas UAMS where they treating him. He has amyloidosis of heart, kidneys & liver. He is 57-years old and we had never heart of this disease. He is looking at dialysis in the very near future for kidney failure due to amyloidosis, however, the liver has responded very well to the treatment he received in Arkansas. He had to have a defibrilator placed in his heart because everytime his blood would drop protein in the heart it would cause V-Tach which was life threatening. He was a very healthy 57-year old male, worked every day and his only symptom was high cholesterol. If you get any good responses on other areas of treatment or information regarding amyloidosis please forward it to me at my e-mail address. Good luck.
