I have adhesions from the stump of one ovary to my large intestine and have had numerous surgeries to remove them. It seems to cause my bowel to twist and untwist I suffer from loose bowels in all their various forms but am never constipated. Nobody has ever mentioned IBS to me. I am on medication to keep things glued together and to introduce normality to my life but some days can be bad and I need to stay near a loo. Do you have pain as well? Since my last adhesion surgery [the removal of scar tissue] my abdomen has never gone back to flat and 2 years later it is still distended. I can pull it in but not hold it there. It is as if the muscles have given up and stretched which does not happen with keyhole surgery. However I am having less of my severe days than I used to have before this last surgery so have not complained about my tummy to the dr.
