I, too, have sinusitis and have had TWO surgeries. I still have it altho the surgeon has enlarged the area beside the nose..NOT at the foot of the sinus in the gum (old fashioned treatment!). I have been researching other things for a friend and have run into TWO new statements put out by our two big Medical clinics in the states..Mayos, & John Hopkins..plus others in which they state that no SINUS problems are NOW found to be of a bacterial origin and NO antibiotic will or could cure it as all sinus "infections" have been found is found to be a FUNGUS!! I live in the center of the states..in Nebraska ...an area called Missouri Valley as it is right BY a big river so is damp and is called the SInus Capital of the US. Doctors, themselves, have written these health letters in which they state they were SO concerned about the mucous, they overlooked the FUNGUS. My Otolaryngologist told me to heat to boiling one cup of water, add 1 tsp. of salt and instill it with a small bulb, into the sinus which is so painful (or both) and let it run in and out, several times a day.
