Dawn
I was recently diagnosed with a gonadal vein thrombosis (blood clot). I was told it is life threatening and admitted to the hospital. I have been home for 2 weeks now and taking Coumadin, but I am a nervous wreck over this clot still being there. I don't actually know if it has changed because they never took another CT Scan of it. If my INR levels are still too low, am I still at risk of this clot breaking and causing me serious complications or even death? Shouldn't another CT Scan be done to evaluate the clot? My ideal INR level should be between 2-3 and I am still hovering at 1.6. Very nervous and would appreciate some feedback from anyone. Thanks
