I have a baby that is now approaching 8 months. Seizures started at four months, mild, but there all the same. By six months I had finally got a doctors attention because the seizures were very pronounced by this time and happening several times a day in large batches. The seizures are gone after seven injections of ACTH and a course of steriods to follow. She has better eye-contact and development seems to have restarted although not quite up to speed yet, is picking up quickly. Please could I have any information as to how quickly children generally will be up to their peers. We have been told there is a 50/50 chance of her needing help for learning, is this good compared to other childrens statistics or are we about the average. We would love to hear from someone in a similar situation. Elaine Mayes
