Matey, I have been on an adjusted diet for Crohn's now for about 18 months. What I discovered, however, is that there are no hard and fast rules about what is a "good" diet - it all depends upon the individual. That having been said, the diet that has worked for me is to avoid wheat, gluten and yeast fairly strictly (I may break the diet every 8-10 days in a minor way). That means giving up bread, BEER, pastries, biscuits etc... It has not been easy but I did find assistance from a friend who has Coeliac Disease since this disease is an intolerance of those things mentioned above. I am now also experimenting with reducing my dairy intake and, I have to say, Soy milk does not bloat me as normal milk used to, and I quite like Fetta cheese!!! If I can be of any further assistance, email me at mal_hobbs@hotmail.com. Good luck.
