My five year old began having strange movements when 2 years old. His arms extend up in the air and his hands form to strange positions and his head sways and eyes seem distant. He was thought to have seizures at one time but has recently been ruled out. He has been tested and evaluated for everything under the sun but still no answers other than his speech diagnosis of dyspraxia and dysarthria. We are seeing a new neurologist this week who specializes in movement disorders. We have already been told that it couldn't be a tic because the movements are irregular and they aren't seizures because you can call his name and he stops and will look right at you. He also isn't doing this for attention, He can't help this but he is beginning to be aware they are going to happen and he tries to controll them. We are desperate for answers any one who is especially is a parent of a child like this or if anyone themselves experience this or a Neurologist that has info please respond.
