WG is hard to diagnose. My husband was finally diagnosed as having it in'91. He was put on prednizone, methatrexate etc. They nearly killed him. His kidneys were attacked. Bit by bit he was weaned off the meds. Well finally they did gran rounds on him at Duke and said they aren't sure he even had it. There is a WG organization..don't have their address anymore.He is holding his own for 9 years. I think the meds orginally saved his life. Good-luck. Janet
