Darlena, Hi, I am 38 years old and I have CMT and also I have a son that is 15 years old and he has CMT, I have twin girls that are 3 years old so far they show no signs of CMT.So far I have done good with CMT it has effected my hands more than my legs. You can see the muscle atrophy in my hands and at times my hands get sore. Also I have hammer toes because of the CMT,and I had to have surgery in 1995.My son is doing pretty good It seems to effect his feet and legs more than his hands. He has a very high arch in his feet.
