I am a 56-year-old male who was recently diagnosed with malignant melanoma, Stage 4. It has metastasized to my lung and liver. I was originally misdiagnosed in February as having lung cancer which had metastasized to the liver, and so I have undergone one session of chemotherapy, with Taxol and Carbo. I am looking for any clinical trials which are directed at malignant melanoma, metastasized, stage four. I am in vigorous and otherwise good physical health, married with one child, twelve; and live in San Francisco. I am unavailable to receive direct communication the week of April 17-24, but would be very grateful for any e-mails, faxes, telephone messages or mail to direct me to cutting-edge clinical trials in immunotherapy, gene therapy or any new techniques beyond the standard surgery, radiation and chemotherapy first lines of treatment.
