It depends on how well you take care of yourself. If you choose to just ignore the symptoms and eat the junk, chances are high. The pancreas overworks in hypoglycemics. Everytime the body needs to digest carbs, the pancreas shoots out too much insulin. If you eat lots of sweets and simple carbohydrates, then you're asking for eventual diabetes. Why? The pancreas will eventually wear itself out. And, then it will produce no insulin--the result being diabetes. If you want to avoid diabetes (and who doesn't) then carefully monitor what you eat. Follow the recommendations--that doesn't mean go with all meat. The recommendations are for high protein and complex carbohydrates. There are great protein sources that aren't meat sources. Become familiar with them and use plenty of them also.
