Thanks to everyone who had taken the time out to respond to my post. All the suggestions have been noted. Last year I had tried the plugs but my right eye got so irritated that I pushed them down further in the canal. I am not sure if they are still there because the doctor who inserted them told me they could have dislodged and fallen out. If they are still in, I haven't seen any improvement. Currently, I am not using any eye drops but I am trying different herbs including eyebright and luetin. I think it is too early to see changes. It gets very uncomfortable for me at times especially meeting new people, making eye contact and feeling obligated to explain why my eyes are red. Also, my job requires me to use the computer but that makes it worse. Bright lights, going to the movies, sunny days, using the hair dryer and even yawning, all irritate my eyes. I would also like to share with anyone who may be having a similar problem to be very careful with the type of eye drops used because some can actually make the problem worse which has happened to me. Eye drops that constrict the blood vessels are the worse and should be avoided at all cost. If used for long time, you will have a rebound effect which will make you eyes worse. I am trying to live with this problem but it is difficult when you are seeing it everyday. Before I would use anything in my eyes that I think may work but now, I am far more selective and I am still grateful I have the ability to see. Any more suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
