If you have osteoarthritis of the knee and no cartilege left, what is athroscopy going to go. GET ANOTHER OPINION. I have end-stage osteoarthritis in both knees. I've seen my X-rays and the bones are nearly toughing. I've just had cortizone injections and they will work for a little while. I then will try Synvisc, another injection and then, unfortunately, total knee replacement. The new consensus is that the younger you are the better the results because the rest of your body is stronger and healthier. Risk of complications is less also. I would strongly suggest another opinion. I've had three. Good luck and don't let them muck around in there, it's costly and the end result is the same.
