Hi Valerie. I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teen ager, my gyno then put me on birth control to regulate my periods and said nothing else needed to be done until I was ready to get pregnant. Now I am 30 and have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year. I recently started to go to a infertility clinic at one of the hospital here in Rochester, NY (were I live). One of the doctors there is a leader in research for this syndrome. She has me taking metformin (glucofage) 3x/day and Clomid to bring on ovulation. I have only taken 1 cycle of clomophene (clomid), but my levels did not go up so this month they will increase the dosage. This is the first time I have emailed anyone about this, I hope all is going well with you.
