julie, hi julie, just wanted to ask did the sleep lab that did your fathers sleep test try bipap on him. bipap is where they give him an inspiration pressure and expiration pressure. some people that have trouble with cpap have trouble exhaling so they need bipap instead of cpap. just thought i would mention this. my husband has the cpap and is doing pretty well with it..i work part time in a sleep lab. hope this helps and dont give up it takes some time to get used to this machines and sometime people never do..your are also right about the mask if they dont have a proper fit it will cause trouble,so that is so important.. well go luck and hope this may help.. sincerly, barb
