barbara
hi my name is barbara and i work in a sleep lab. the first thing i would do is go have a sleep study. that will give you a diagnosis. then your dr will suggest which would be the best. surgery or cpap. cpap means continual positive airway pressure. thats what keeps your airway open at night. my husband has it and he has a cpap machine for night time. he sleeps like a baby. your child can have one to and be as good as new. they work wonders. there are thousands of adults and children that have this. they are just now finding out just how many are plague with this sleep disorder. there is help you just have to go get it. hopes this helps.....god bless and sweet dreams.
