I am a 34 year old female and has had problems with hydrocephalus for at least 14 years. The symptoms started off with severe headaches and then double vision. I recently had a VP Shunt replaced which seems to really help. Immediately following the surgery all symptoms were gone. The only downfall is that the shunt placed isn't guaranteed to last a life time. My first shunt lasted 14 years. I just had it replaced the beginning of this year after suffering headaches and dizziness. Now everything is back to normal, no headaches or dizziness.
