                        Ectopic pregnancies usually occur when there is damage to the fallopian tubes. A lot of woman who had chlamydia, or PID are at an increased risk for it.  Reversed tubal ligations, endometriosis, fibroids, or more that one abortion puts a woman at high risk also.  Or it can simply be bad luck.  I had an ectopic this year.  Fortunately, I did not have to get surgery.  I had to get a shot of Methotrexate and I had to keep going back to the hospital weekly to monitor my HCG level.  I took an HSG exam to make sure my tubes, uterus, and ovaries looked good and thank God they did.  I got the okay to try again but I am a little afraid.  I have to trust that God will take care of it the next time.  Good luck
