                        I have had PCOS since I was 13 and I am now 37.  I started with my period once in a blue moon.  About 5 yrs ago it went the other way.  I didn't stop spotting for over 2 yrs. Being a coward I didn't go to the doctor till I looked like a walking ghost.  I have the gained weight, 8-10 lbs a yr since I was 16.  Facial hair, boy do I have some.  I have diabetes, cardiac and endometrial cancer in my family history making me a very high risk.  I am on birth control that controls only my period, another high risk.  I am depressed, over weight and all around ugggg.  I have a doctor who is good but can't or won't do anything further.  What I have found on the net is that they can only treat the symptoms as they occur and that not very good.  I don't plan on having children.  Has anyone had a hysterectomy to correct the overy pain and bleeding?  I don't want to wait for endometrial cancer to get it like my mom did. Can any one help?
