My 8 year old daughter has verbal dyspraxia. I knew there was something wrong very early but her doctor said that it would fix itself but now at 8 years he says she has verbal dyspraxia. I did get help from Early Intervention (Step 1) by the time she was 2 years. Now she is in a intergrated 2nd grade classroom to help her with her speech and reading. Due to her dyspraxia reading is more difficult but her speech has improved alot and hopefully eventually she will not need any extra help. Any suggestions for reading material on this subject would be helpful especially if there is suggestions on helping with her reading. Cathryn your sons speech will improve like my daughters has and has continued to do. I hope your child gets all the help he needs to acheive that goal.
