no it doesn't get easier. I don't know if it's genetics or what but my mother is plagued with constipation, my sister, and myself. We are are grown and are chronically constipated. We try to eat right and exercise and we use laxatives all the times. When things don't get moving, we find we need an enema which helps until the cycle starts over. Not a pleasant way to live
