Nicola
My 4 year old daughter has had the same problem. Last year she started getting bladder infections which I immediately related to the constipation as she suddenly refused to use the toilet and so she went back to nappies. I'm sure an anal bacteria caused the bladder infection. This year in February I consulted a child specialist. An X-ray showed the full bowel, an ultra-sound checked kidneys but all was ok. She got LEGENDAL to soften the feases and that worked succesfully but I have to watch het diet carefully. She has to have all-bran bread and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit. I would advise any parent to go to a doctor/specialist for further examination, preferably an Academic Hospital as they do far more research. Also I think hereditary plays a role, I have had similar problems but it got less after I gave birth to my children. ofcourse I don't know how the insurance situation is in America as I am Dutch and live in Holland. But at least go and see your G.P.And no WHITE bread! Take care, Nicola.
