in addition to the burning acid feeling i had trouble swallowing for years. i was on prilosec and nexium. what finally did it for me was an adjustment of my stomach. my natropath physically pulled my stomach down out of my diaphram. this is what was causing the valve between the esophagus and stomach to remain partially open and let the acid leak into my esophagus. when the stomach moves up into the diaphram it can cause the esophagus to squish causing pain. after she pulled my stomach down and adjusted my back(the vertebre T4-T8 can affect a nerve that services the solar plexus area) i have felt wonderful. i also no longer eat raw veggies and few simple carbs. only warm food. my docs suggested the surgery to wrap my stomach around my esophgus and i am so glad i did not do this. another piece of my healing was the work i did with my psychotherapist. i learned that my stomach was an emotional waste dump. i have learned how to deal with life differently and i cannot underestimate the important effect this had on my healing. we are so trained to focus on our wounds that i think we sometines forget that our health is always greater until the day we die. this is a multi leveled problem and i encourage every one of you not give up. it may not be one thing that helps but many things on many levels. we are after all physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, energetic, and intellectual creatures. good luck to you all.
