F.P.
My husband suffered for about 22 years with stones. His first stone back in 76 was removed with a basket, at which time the ureter was torn during the procedure. This led to a second surgery to repair the ureter. Since that time he had almost yearly recurring strictures, and or stones, which would require surgery to fix. Two years ago he nearly lost his life as a result of one of these surgeries. So please, have your doctor check for a stricture. Have an IVP, CT or even an MRI to find the problem causing the back pain. Don't let it go too long, for your own sake.
