My 15 month old has mild hypospadias which means that he urinates from the correct place, just out of the bottom portion of his pee hole. We are in a dilemma as to whether to have the surgery to correct or not. The doctor does not forsee any future problems if we do nothing, however, he has indicated that his penis will have a slight bend in it as a result. At this point the surgery would be strictly for cosmetic purposes, and I don't like the idea of fixing something that's not broken. At the same time, I don't want a different looking penis to be an issue as he grows, kids have enough issues these days (I'm an elem. educator so I see it every day). I'd love thoughts/feedback.
